About the Sentinel
The Virginia Sentinel is an innovative source of news dedicated to serving the University community. Its editors aspire to complement the available University news media by offering timely, comprehensive coverage and a reader-oriented format meant to facilitate debate and cross-community communication.
To this end, the Sentinel is committed to a set of core values: innovation, utility, and professionalism. Our writers and editors hope to combine the best assets of Old and New media into one instrument of communication.
The success of the Sentinel will be largely user driven. If you have ideas on how we can improve, information about upcoming events or issues, or an interest in participating in the Sentinel project, please email us at sentinel.uva@gmail.com. Beyond that, we hope you’ll spread the word about the Sentinel to encourage others to become a part of this innovative initiative.
